The Hand Gym Exercise Unit is a triangular shaped, clear plastic device fashioned of unbreakable plates and spacer rods along with foam rubber cushions and rubber bands for proper exercise of hands affected by injury or disease.
This therapeutic tool was developed for people with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, partial paralysis after strokes or accidents, fractures, burns, MS, spinal cord injuries and after hand surgery.
In addition, the Hand Gym Exercise Unit is useful for non-disabled people who want to maintain dexterity by daily exercise. Clinically tested for two years at the Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine of N.Y. University Medical Centre, the device helps arrest development of hand deformities resulting from rheumatoid arthritis, to maximise muscular agility and endurance and minimise pain during exercises.
The Hand Gym Exercise Unit can be adjusted for various sized hands. It is supplied complete with a 30 page booklet showing numerous illustrations with clear and precise instructions for its use.
